Feature Clustering for Open-Set Recognition in LCD Manufacturing

We are very happy about CCI latest research output with our collaboration partner @FLAIR. The project team developed a novel Open Set Recognition approach that outperformed the state-of-the-art. The approach can identify new unknown defects in the production line which need to be considered when applying artificial intelligence models in practice. The approach is one of the first Open Set Classification approaches that has been validated with industrial data.
